OVERVIEW

To understand their complex global energy consumption and emissions footprint, Cisco needed a software solution to help them manage disparate energy- and emissions-related data inputs across their enterprise, integrate and analyze their sustainability and energy metrics, embark upon energy and emissions mitigation projects, and report results publicly. Cisco also needed to perform detailed interval analysis of their high energy-usage facilities.

Cisco is an American multinational technology company headquartered in San Jose, California, that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment, with more than 71,000 employees. As a technology-intensive global company, Cisco manages a diverse portfolio of buildings. Many have energy usage intensities comparable to typical office buildings, while others, labs and data centers, consume very large amounts of electricity and produce GHG emissions that need to be tracked, managed, and reported.

C3 IoT implemented C3 Energy Management for Cisco's Global Sustainability and Global Energy teams, their third-party, on-site property managers, and their internal Financial, Planning, and Analysis executives. C3 Energy Management provides Cisco with a single, unified, global energy and environmental sustainability management and reporting solution. The application allows Cisco to manage the full life-cycle of energy and environmental sustainability management, from data integration to analysis and opportunity identification, through mitigation project execution, and, finally, to reporting and continuous improvement.
