In many Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) projects, monitoring at the same time vibration, shock and inclinations activities is crucial. Our practical solution is the BeanDevice® WiLow®X-INC, the first wireless combo sensors on the market integrating high-end accelerometer, inclinometer and shock sensors.

 

This wireless device is equipped with ULP (Ultra-Low-Power) WIFI technology enabling an open-standard wireless communication.

 

Characterized by a waterproof (IP67/NEMA 6) and a lightweight aluminum casing (65x59x35mm, 220g), an ultra-low power mode (60 µA in sleep mode), a built-in data logger that can store up to 5 million data logs, as well as a tiny Radome omni antenna enabling a maximum wireless range of 200 meters (L.O.S.), this outstanding ULP WIFI multi-sensors device is dedicated to Structural Health Monitoring.

 While the clear majority of wireless sensors are not suitable for harsh industrial environment, the BeanDevice® WiLow® X-INC integrates an innovative antenna diversity design, boosting the radio link quality in environments subject to random and diverse disturbances. Antenna diversity improves both the quality and reliability of a wireless link by 30%.

 The combination of high-performance multi-sensors accelerometer/inclinometer and a 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter enables a high level of accuracy (inclinometer: ±0.057° for the version ±15°, accelerometer: 45 µg/√Hz for the ±2g version).

 

Thanks to an onboard shock sensor coming with SSD (Smart Shock Detection) technology, the user can trigger both data acquisition and device wakeup on a shock threshold.   

 

An innovative and versatile energy management (USB and Energy Harvesting) allows to power supply the BeanDevice® WiLow® X-INC from the internal Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery, USB Power Bank or directly from a solar panel.

 Store and Forward+, a lossless data transmission mechanism, enables a large-scale deployment of WiLow® sensors on industrial applications where data transmission is critical.

Ready for IOT (Internet of things) applications, the Beandevice® WiLow® X-INC integrates a MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) data frame, a lightweight and open-source Internet of Things protocol.
