Description
IRB 140 industrial robot is a six axis multipurpose robot that handles payload of 6 kg, with long reach (810 mm). The IRB 140 can be floor mounted, inverted or on the wall in any angle. Available as Standard, Foundry Plus 2, Clean Room and Wash versions, all mechanical arms completely IP67 protected, making IRB 140 easy to integrate in and suitable for a variety of applications. Uniquely extended radius of working area due to bend-back mechanism of upper arm, axis 1 rotation of 360 degrees and flexible mounting capabilities.
IRB 140 Foundry Plus 2 and Wash versions are suitable for operating in extreme foundry environments and other harsh environments with high requirements for corrosion resistance and tightness. In addition to the IP67 protection, excellent surface treatment makes the robot high-pressure steam washable. The white-finish Clean Room version meets clean room class 10 regulations, making it especially suited for environments with stringent cleanliness standards.
The IRB 4400 is a compact robot that can handle loads up to 60 kg.
Exceptional all-round capabilities and stiffness make IRB 4400 perfectly matched for variety of applications where accuracy, speed rigidity and flexibility are important.
A new world of possibilities opens up with ABB’s new IRB 6600 robot family. It comes in several versions, with different lengths of the arm and matching handling capacities.
Upper arm extenders and different wrist modules will allow customization to each process. As the robot can bend fully backwards, the working range is greatly extended and the robot fits well into dense production lines. Typical application areas are spot welding, material handling, and machine tending. A built-in Service Information System monitors the motion and load of the machine and optimizes service requirements by itself A range of software products have been added – all falling under the umbrella designation of Active Safety – to protect not only personnel in the unlikely event of an accident, but also the robot itself. Collision detection, which reduces the collision force substantially, is especially useful on robots handling high payloads. An Electronically Stabilized Path will ensure that the robot will maintain its planned path to its best capability considering acceleration, drag, gravity and inertia. This feature is secured through our TrueMove.
In designing its Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm (SCARA), or IRB 910SC, ABB has delivered a single arm robot capable of operating in a confined footprint. ABB’s SCARA is ideal for the Small Parts Assembly, Material Handling and parts inspection.

The IRB 260 is designed and optimized primarily for packing applications. It is built to meet your reach and payload requirements whilst being small enough to fit into compact packing machines. Combined with ABB motion control and tracking performance, the robot is ideal in flexible packing systems.
