DESCRIPTION
Changshu Economic & Technological Development Zone strives to build an industrial area with international competitiveness and an eco-friendly Binjing (Along the Yangtze River) New Town which is modernized and internationalized.
A number of world-renowned multinational enterprises, such as UPM from Finland, DuPont, Axle Manufacturing and Tyco International from the USA have set up factories or R&D centers in Changshu Economic &Technological Development Zone. More than 5,000 enterprises, including over 600 foreign enterprises from twenty-more countries and regions have started their operations and/or established facilities in the zone. The total volume of foreign investment reaches 21 billion US dollars. Fifty-four investment projects are from the world’s top 500 enterprises and the number of projects with an investment volume exceeding 100 million US dollars is 28.
