DESCRIPTION
Company Description
SparkCognition, Inc. is the world's first Cognitive Security Analytics company based in Austin, Texas. The company is successfully building and deploying a Cognitive, data-driven Analytics platform for Clouds, Devices and the Internet of Things industrial and security markets by applying patent-pending algorithms that deliver out of-band, symptom-sensitive analytics, insights, and security. SparkCognition was named the 2015 Hottest Start Up in Austin by SXSW and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, was the only US-based company to win Nokia’s 2015 Open Innovation Challenge, was a 2015 Gartner Cool Vendor, and is a 2016 Edison Award Winner.
SparkCognition’s technology is capable of harnessing real-time infrastructure data and learning from it continuously, allowing for more accurate risk mitigation and prevention policies to intervene and avert disasters. The company’s cybersecurity centered solution analyzes structured and unstructured data and natural language sources to identify potential attacks in the IoT environment. The company has acquired dozens of major clients, including multiple Fortune 500 and Fortune 1,000 organizations.
IoT Solutions
With 50 billion devices estimated to be online by 2020 human-oriented data science approaches will be insufficient to make sense of the vast amounts of data produced by connected networks. The broad range of assets in use by industry drive the need for a scalable, automated system for monitoring and prediction. Human-oriented data science approaches take too much time, rely on hard-to-find talent, and require custom model building for each type of asset. In many instances, the problem is further compounded because large differences in operating conditions, maintenance schedules and load patterns can drive model proliferation; the need for different models for the same type of asset.
SparkCognition's technology is based on proprietary Artificial Intelligence algorithms that can ingest massive amounts of structured and unstructured data from sensors, logs, web and a variety of other sources to automatically build models of the underlying systems. This technology is essentially akin to implementing the minds of security analysts, industrial engineers, vibration analysts and similar experts, in software. Human intelligence at machine scale and machine speed.
