About The Customer
The Younique Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps women recovering from sexual abuse by providing a healing retreat with group activities and therapy. The foundation relies on a variety of funding sources, including sales of swag items and donations, to keep operations going. To maintain their non-profit status with the Federal Government, they need to raise 33% of their funding through outside sources. The foundation is committed to bringing hope and educational resources to sexual abuse survivors and is constantly seeking ways to improve their outreach and services.
The Challenge
The Younique Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women recover from sexual abuse, was facing challenges in managing and analyzing their data. They relied heavily on complex spreadsheets, which made it difficult to respond quickly to what their data showed. The organization wanted to understand the pre- and post-retreat experiences of their participants, but lacked an efficient way to evaluate the metrics. Additionally, they were experimenting with various funding sources, including sales of swag items, but found it challenging to measure the impact of these revenue streams. They also needed to accurately track their funding on a daily basis to maintain their non-profit status with the Federal Government, which requires them to raise 33% of their funding through outside sources.
The Solution
The Younique Foundation turned to Grow, a simple Business Intelligence (BI) platform, to address their challenges. Grow enabled the organization to easily see and analyze their retreat data, helping them understand how to improve their services and the lives of their participants. After analyzing the information from their customized Grow dashboards, they revamped their entire online store to make the products more appealing to their clientele. Grow's real-time metrics were instrumental in managing their funding. The platform allowed them to track their funding accurately on a daily basis, guiding their marketing efforts to attract the right kind of funding. Furthermore, Grow provided an easy-to-use, customizable platform that allowed them to track the metrics that were important to them. They created customized dashboards for their executive, philanthropy, and clinical services teams, providing their employees with actionable information.

IoT Applications and Upgrades in Textile Plant
At any given time, the textile company’s manufacturing facility has up to 2,000 textile carts in use. These carts are pushed from room to room, carrying materials or semi-finished products. Previously, a paper with a hand-written description was attached to each cart. This traditional method of processing made product tracking extremely difficult. Additionally, making sure that every cart of materials or semi-finished products went to its correct processing work station was also a problem. Therefore, the company desired an intelligent solution for tracking assets at their factories. They also wanted a solution that would help them collect process data so they could improve their manufacturing efficiency.

Buoy Status Monitoring with LoRa
The Netherlands are well-known for their inland waterways, canals, sluices and of course port activities. The Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure indicates that there are thousands of buoys and fixed items in and near water environments that would profit from IoT monitoring. One of the problems with buoys for example, is that they get hit by ships and the anchor cable breaks. Without connectivity, it takes quite some time to find out that something has happened with that buoy. Not to mention the costs of renting a boat to go to the buoy to fix it. Another important issue, is that there is no real-time monitoring of the buoys at this moment. Only by physically visiting the object on the water, one gains insight in its status.

IoT Based Asset Tracking System
The existing system used by the customer could only track a few thousand assets and was able to generate only a few standard set of reports. As the number of assets tracked grew exponentially, the system started to break at the seams. The Tracking devices were from different manufacturers following different protocols. There was no proper integration among the devices to send instant alerts. There are thousands of tracking devices spread across multiple geographies, that are moving. The configuration and troubleshooting of these devices incurred heavy costs, which was a logistics challenge. The existing system did not provide sophisticated Analytics, Business Intelligence and Insights from the data
